Our safety framework aligns with Australian Work Health & Safety (WHS) laws, ensuring every task is performed professionally, responsibly, and with care.
Our Commitment to You
1. Verified, Trained, and Compliant Taskers
Every Tasker on Taskoon goes through:
Identity verification (KYC – ID + selfie match)
Background checks where required
Category-specific safety training
Mandatory onboarding assessment
Annual refresher vetting and training
Only Taskers who meet our compliance and standards are allowed to accept tasks.
2. Pre-Start Safety Checks
Before starting any task, Taskers must:
Complete a Pre-Start Safety Checklist to complete the TRA (Task Risk Assessment)
Assess the environment for hazards
Ensure tools and equipment are safe to use
Confirm they understand the task scope
Identify high-risk activities requiring a SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement)
If conditions are unsafe, the Tasker has full authority to stop work.
3. High-Risk Work & SWMS
For any activity classified as high-risk under WHS guidelines, Taskers are required to:
Complete an approved Safe Work Method Statement
Follow the outlined controls
Report any deviations or risks immediately
Taskoon provides guidance within the app to ensure compliance every time.
4. Right to Stop Work
If the Tasker identifies:
Unsafe conditions
Aggressive behaviour
Hazardous equipment
Weather-related risks
Lack of access or unsafe workspace
They have the right to pause or stop the task, report it, and prevent harm. No task is more important than your safety.
5. Hazard, Incident & Dispute Reporting
Taskers and Users can instantly report:
Hazards
Near misses
Injuries
Unsafe conditions
Disputes
Reports can be submitted through:
Incident/Hazard Reporting Form (Tasker app)
Taskoon Support Centre
SOS Button (emergencies)
All reports are reviewed by Taskoon’s Safety & Operations Team.
6. Secure Payments & Fair Processes
Our Escrow payment model ensures:
Users only pay for time worked
Taskers are paid fairly and weekly
Automatic refunds for cancellations, no-show, or incomplete tasks
Partial refunds for early completion
Full dispute resolution support
Safety extends to fairness and transparency.
7. Post-Task Quality & Safety Check
After completing a task, Taskers must:
Complete a Post-Task Safety & Quality Checklist
Confirm the task area is left clean, safe, and restored
Document any issues or hazards
Submit required photos if needed
Users receive a summary to ensure full transparency.
8. Safe Environment Standards for Users
Residents and Businesses must:
Provide safe access to the work area
Ensure pets are secured (if applicable)
Avoid requesting unsafe or illegal tasks
Disclose known hazards
Communicate clearly and respectfully
Safety is a shared responsibility.
9. Emergency Support
If a Tasker feels unsafe or requires urgent assistance:
SOS Feature triggers three actions:
Alerts Taskoon Support
Sends location to nominated emergency contact
Provides immediate guidance
