1. Introduction 

1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Taskoon platform, including our website, mobile application, and related services (“Services”). 
1.2 The Services are operated by Taskoon Pty Ltd (ABN [Insert ABN]) (“Taskoon”, “we”, “us”, “our”). 
1.3 By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. 
1.4 If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services. 

2. Definitions 

In these Terms: 

  • “Customer” means a person or business requesting services through the Taskoon platform. 

  • “Tasker” means a vetted service provider approved by Taskoon to deliver services. 

  • “Booking” means a confirmed request for services made by a Customer through the platform. 

  • “Platform” means the Taskoon website, mobile application, and related systems. 

  • “Service Fee” means the fee charged by Taskoon for facilitating a Booking. 

3. Eligibility 

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Services. 
3.2 You must have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. 
3.3 You must provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it up to date. 
3.4 We may refuse registration or terminate accounts at our discretion. 

 

4. Nature of the Platform 

4.1 Taskoon provides a platform for Customers to book fixed-price services from vetted Taskers. 
4.2 Taskoon sets service prices; Customers cannot negotiate rates with Taskers. 
4.3 Taskoon is not the direct provider of services. All services are delivered by independent Taskers. 
4.4 Taskoon vets Taskers via identity verification, background checks, and qualification assessment. 

 

5. Booking Process 

5.1 Customers can request services by selecting from available fixed-price options on the platform. 
5.2 A Booking is confirmed once payment is processed and the Customer receives confirmation from Taskoon. 
5.3 Taskers are assigned based on availability, skill set, and location. 
5.4 Taskoon may reject or cancel a Booking if: 

  • The requested service is not available 

  • There is a safety concern 

  • The Customer breaches these Terms 

 

6. Payment Terms 

6.1 All service prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated. 
6.2 Payment is required in full at the time of Booking. 
6.3 Taskoon collects payment on behalf of the Tasker and holds it until service completion. 
6.4 After completion, Taskoon remits payment to the Tasker minus the Service Fee. 
6.5 Payments are processed by secure third-party providers; Taskoon does not store payment card details. 

 

7. Cancellations and Refunds 

7.1 Customers may cancel a Booking in accordance with our Cancellation Policy available on the website. 
7.2 Refund eligibility will depend on the timing of cancellation and whether work has commenced. 
7.3 Taskoon may cancel a Booking and provide a refund if a Tasker becomes unavailable or circumstances beyond our control prevent service delivery. 

 

8. Tasker Obligations 

8.1 Taskers must: 

  • Maintain current licences, permits, and insurance as required 

  • Perform services with due care, skill, and diligence 

  • Comply with Australian Consumer Law and all applicable legislation 

  • Follow safety protocols and act professionally at all times 

8.2 Taskers are responsible for any tools, materials, or equipment required to complete the service unless otherwise specified. 

 

9. Customer Obligations 

9.1 Customers must: 

  • Provide accurate information when making a Booking 

  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to the premises or service location 

  • Treat Taskers with courtesy and respect 

  • Not request illegal or unsafe work 

9.2 If the Customer fails to meet these obligations, the Tasker may refuse to complete the service and no refund will be provided. 

 

10. Prohibited Conduct 

You must not: 

  • Use the platform for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful purposes 

  • Circumvent Taskoon’s payment systems 

  • Misrepresent your identity or qualifications 

  • Post or transmit harmful code or interfere with platform operation 

 

11. Warranties and Liability 

11.1 To the extent permitted by law, Taskoon excludes all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. 
11.2 Taskoon is not liable for: 

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential loss 

  • Loss of profits, business, or opportunity 

  • Services not meeting your expectations, except where required by law 

11.3 Our liability under the Australian Consumer Law is limited to: 

  • Re-supplying the service; or 

  • Refunding the amount paid for the service 

 

12. Indemnity 

You agree to indemnify Taskoon and its officers, employees, and agents against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services. 

 

13. Intellectual Property 

13.1 The Taskoon platform, branding, and content are protected by intellectual property laws. 
13.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without written consent. 

 

14. Termination of Use 

14.1 We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if: 

  • You breach these Terms 

  • You misuse the Services 

  • We reasonably believe continued use would harm Taskoon or its users 

14.2 You may close your account at any time via the platform or by contacting us. 

 

15. Governing Law 

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
